We’re excited to see our Bessborough Residence featured in @nuvomag! This charming red-brick 19th century home was carefully preserved, fully renovated, and doubled in size to accommodate the needs of a young family. From the exterior, the modern addition mirrors the form of the historic home, to pay homage to it. On the interior, the new extension introduces an open plan with double height spaces, and offers more natural light with a connection to the exterior. Tower House is a finalist in the @architizer A+Awards! 🎉 Help us take home the win by voting for it in the Unbuilt Private House (S <3000sf) category. Read more about the project and cast your vote at the link in our bio.

Tower House is a 1,800sf home located along Maine’s midcoast region. Inspired by the lighthouses that dot the state’s shores, the taller tower holds the primary suite and guest bedroom, while the smaller tower serves as a double-height space for the ground floor living space. Between the two is a roof deck accessed by the primary suite. At the ground level, a patio and pool are framed by the home’s two tower wings, looking out over the Atlantic.

The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful design in the world and champion its potential for a positive impact on everyday life.
